The Company BTC
Baltic Transshipment Center Ltd. is a fully owned subsidiary company of Korn- og Foderstof Kompagniet A/S, Aarhus, Denmark, wellknown on feedstuff market since long. At present the A/S KFK headoffice is located in Liepaja as well.
BTC has rented an area of 84 500 m2 and constructed a warehouse of 9000 m2 for storage of about 30 000 mt goods in bulk as well as covered storing area of 2500 m2 for bags, pallets and big-bags.
BTC has own quay of about 130 m in lenght with a draft up to 7 m. It allowes to perform cargo handling operations in ‘direct way’ – from/to ship into/from waggons.
BTC has own direct railway line onto site, combined railway waggon and truck weighbridge, own cranes, loading and unloading facilities for ships, railway waggons and trucks.
BTC is operating by Danish management in combination with own local Latvian staff.
